My concentration theme is black and white urban settings. I wanted to do this because i love the city and would love to live in one again someday. The city is also a lot different then what we are use to here in hood river. I decided on the black and white because i feel like the photos come out better and are more visually appealing.

ReplyDeleteYour editing is working well. I might play with various eye levels and maybe have a couple of zigs and zags in new images rather than one set of leading lines leading the viewer into the picture. For example, the lamp post image leads us in with the edge of the building in the foreground then we follow the road back into the image in a different direction. Looking forward to your Portland shots! The new science wing is a great subject on campus to try for extreme angles and a modern feel.
ReplyDeleteI really love the picture of the newspaper stand! I looks somehow ominous and the contrast is fantastic! The bottom picture is awesome as well, I love the separation of the two buildings, the trees shadow really adds to it! All of your pictures are strong, I can't wait to see how your concentration turns out!
